International Board of Certified Athletic Therapists (IBCAT) sets requirements for entry to the athletic therapy profession, registers athletic therapists, & sets standards of practice and guidelines for athletic therapy professional practice to be applied globally.
Before being given an international certificate of registration to practice as an athletic therapist, member must:
- graduate from an accredited athletic therapy educational program,
- pass licensing examinations administered by the International Board of Certified Athletic Therapists,
- Must hold a valid First Aid and CPR-HCP certificate
