International Board of Certified Athletic Therapists (IBCAT) is a not-for-profit, self-governing body, established by the athletic therapy profession to help regulate and develop international standard of care for athletic therapists.
- IBCAT is committed to improving the health and well-being of clients & patients anywhere in the world by assuring them of competent and ethical athletic therapy care.
- IBCAT registers athletic therapists and issues international certificated of registration to athletic therapists.
- IBCAT sets requirements for entry to the athletic therapy profession, registers athletic therapists, sets global standards of practice and guidelines for athletic therapy professional practice.
- IBCAT provides policy input as a complement to the existing national and international legislation guiding the athletic therapy profession and all other related practices.
